Do not bring damaged, leaking, swollen, smoking, or hot batteries unless the location specifically accepts them.
Keep batteries away from heat, fire, water, children, and pets.
Keep loose batteries separated when possible.
Tape battery terminals when recommended, especially rechargeable, lithium-ion, button cell, and 9V batteries.
When unsure, call the drop-off location first.
